They are now publicly available for view, in both games’ Insomniac Museum. Some of the beta and unused things actualy were released to the public in two of the game’s sequals, Ratchet & Clank Going Commando, and Ratchet & Clank Up your Arsenal. Also seen here, is a beta version of the Waloper. In the final, it’s simply a meter on the right side of the screen. Not to mention, the beta suck canon ammo counter. The final version replaces them with an image of what the ammo looks like that comes out of the ammo crates. The HUD is still beta here, and the no chicken sign is too.Īlso to be seen are various weapon ammo icons that in the final, are used only in the quick select and weapon menu. At 0:49 can be seen a strange weapon icon, a no chickens sign. ![]() ![]() It can be seen there in another part of the video, but also in it’s proper place as well. In all Ratchet games, it’s in the top RIGHT. To start with, at 0:22, it’s rather fast, but pause it and you’ll see the beta bolt meter, but in the top left part of the screen. In this video, can be seen what appears to be a mashup of different betas. There were some changes made to the final game however, one of which, involves the farm friendly foul. The series is also known for it’s comical approach, with weapons such as the Morph -o- Ray, which turns enemies into chickens. The main goal of the game, is to blow up anything that moves, while exploring large levels for hidden items. Ratchet and Clank was the first game in a series that would become a cash cow for Insomniac Games. ![]()
